LEDVANCE developed and implemented a modern LED lighting concept for the façade of the landmark Movistar Arena in Madrid that highlights the architecture and gives it attention-grabbing standout appeal.

The Challenge

The 2005 rebuilt Movistar Arena did not have a facade illumination and to help elevate this venue, which will once again be one of the venues hosting the upcoming EuroBasket 2029, LEDVANCE was trusted with this task.
Having succesful already illuminated the inside of the arena back in 2023, LEDVANCE created a modern and flexible lighting concept for the facade of the arena with the aim to enhances its architectural value as well as helping to attract public attention, whilst at the same time being energy efficient.

the solution

As well as using LEDVANCE LED floodlights, the dedicated LEDVANCE Project Services Team (LPS) also sourced lighting solution products not currently featured within the standard portfolio to help design a lighting system that allowed RGBW flexibility coupled with easy DMX control.
This is where the LPS team’s expertise and planning really excelled and demonstrated an understanding of the project needs for a customer-centric solution.
